Consider your typing preferences and desired features to determine which option is better for you. **

Roccat mice are designed to work well on a variety of surfaces, including non-Roccat mouse pads. However, the smoothness of the mouse movement may be affected by the quality and texture of the non-Roccat mouse pad. While Roccat mice are optimized for use with Roccat mouse pads, they should still provide a smooth and responsive experience on other surfaces. It's always a good idea to test the mouse on different pads to find the best fit for your preferences. **

The Vulcan Tactile features tactile switches that provide a noticeable bump when pressed, giving a more tactile feedback to the user. On the other hand, the Vulcan Speed utilizes linear switches that have a smooth keystroke without any tactile bump, allowing for faster and quieter typing experience. Additionally, the Vulcan Speed has a shorter actuation point compared to the Vulcan Tactile, making it more responsive for gaming. **
