For an old farmhouse, I would recommend using a cement plaster that is durable and breathable, such as a lime-based plaster. Lime plaster is well-suited for older buildings because it allows moisture to evaporate from the walls, preventing dampness and potential damage to the structure. It also has a natural, traditional look that complements the aesthetic of an old farmhouse. Additionally, lime plaster is known for its longevity and ability to withstand the settling and movement that can occur in older buildings. **

Additionally, a renovated farmhouse can offer a peaceful and idyllic rural setting, perfect for those seeking a quiet and serene lifestyle. However, there are also disadvantages to consider, such as the potential for unexpected renovation costs, the need for ongoing maintenance, and the challenges of modernizing an older structure to meet current building codes and standards. Additionally, the remote location of many farmhouses may present challenges in terms of access to amenities and services. **
